Scottish parliament implemented the EU Energy Performance in Buildings Directive on 4th January 2009.
In Scotland the provision of EPCs is strictly controlled by the 'Scottish Protcol.' Licensed assessors must be named as qualified individuals to be included on the protocol register.
The requirement for domestic and non-domestic EPCs has broadly been implemented in the same way as the rest of the UK.
They key difference in Scotland is public buildings greater than 1000m2 are required to display and EPC, and not a DEC.
We are delighted to be retained as an appointed supplier until 2010 on the framework agreement for Domestic & Non-Domestic EPCs for Higher & Further Education institutions throughout Scotland.
Due to our rapidly expanding workload across Scotland we are delighted to announce the opening of our new office in Glasgow in March 2009.
What our clients say about us
"On behalf of the College, I would like to express my thanks to Rushton EPC for the work done recently in respect of EPC surveys for three of our buildings. The work was carried our professionally and efficiently by the surveyor and the certificates, reports & recommendations soon followed. I have since recommended Rushton EPC to other colleges in Scotland."
